Using correct floor mats for mantra chanting

Use the correct Aasan (PRAYER MAT)

Choose the correct Aasan to sit upon. A wooden plank or a Darba grass mat are ideal, you may choose a thick cotton cloth too, that is also fine.

·        DHARBASANA is best for fulfillment of auspicious desires.

·        Seated on Bamboo sheets – not considered auspicious for mantra chanting, somehow results in lack of prosperity.

·        Sitting on a stone whilst mantra siddhi chanting – health suffers.

·         Sitting directly on earth without a thick sheet – suffers sorrows.

·        Sitting on Grass while chanting – earns the Sadhaka disgrace.

·        Sitting on tree leaves while chanting – brings wavering of mind.

·        Sitting on Woolen Blankets – brings disgrace.

·        Sitting on Skin of Animals while chanting – destroys the knowledge

·        Never use another’s Aasan, neither allow another to use yours.

·        Never let the Aasan be spread on the floor and leave it unattended, ie., it should not be spread on the floor with the intention of sitting and then you go and attend some work, and come back and sit…..NO NO NO …this is because unseen forces also desirous of getting good vibes absorbed in your aasan come and aquire the aasan before you sit.

·        To overcome this, once it is spread, just sit on it, and once the japa is over, fold and keep it at a place in hiding, say your almirah.

I    AFTER SPREADING YOU HAVE TO GO TO ATTEND SOME URGENT WORK, FOLD THE AASAN AND PUT IT UP FROM FLOOR. Come back and spread again.
